The White-lipped peccary is found from southern Mexico to northeastern Argentina. It is considered to be a very dangerous animal, because when it feels threatened it aggressively attacks any enemy.

DIET
It feeds on fruits, seeds (mainly pine nuts), shoots, roots and leaves, as well as frogs, lizards and chicks.
REPRODUCTION
Each litter has two babies normally.
BEHAVIOR

● They live in groups of around 300 individuals.
● When one is injured, it is normal for the whole group to protect it.
● They travel great distances in search of food.
● It is active diurnally and nocturnally.

TRIVIA

They chatter their teeth when they feel threatened, to warn and scare away potential aggressors.
