The crab-eating fox is a close relative of the domestic dog, but a wild hunter. They are very active, especially at night.

They eat everything, including fruit, eggs, amphibians, reptiles, small mammals and animal carcasses.
REPRODUCTION
There is no fixed period, but it usually happens in July and again in November. The gestation period is two months and three to six puppies are born.
BEHAVIOR

● They are nocturnal, solitary hunters.
● They gather in groups during the mating season.
